Uriah Lemar Black Death; victim of a fatal shooting in Halifax yesterday has been identified as Uriah Lemar Black, 38

Uriah Lemar Black, 38, was the victim of yesterday’s deadly shooting in Halifax.

Police responded to a report of an injured male on Halifax’s McFatridge Road at around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 20. Officers found Black, who had been shot, on the sidewalk at the scene. After being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.

Following an examination, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service determined that the cause of death was homicide.
Police do not think this was a random incident, but the investigation is still underway.
